  • Hi Stevie, Lanie here! Love you heaps. Mum jsut told me that Doula is apparently very dangerous so make sure you hold onto your bag tight and don't get mugged...

  • Hi Steve - Mum here! In true mother-style I want to know a bit about your surroundings so can visualise it better ... Views? Colours and hues? Temperatures? Food types? Team of 'tutors'? From where? Team of fellow 'students' - how many? New friends? What medioum is the teaching in - English or bi-lingual? If some are still learning English? You could swap English lessons for French ones, maybe! Do you ahve mosquito nets? What's the hardest thing to cope with? What's the highlight so far? Sorry - far too many questions from da inquisitive and interested maada! Luv ya! Da MUM

PS It was Diane Goodman who cautioned for a 'whiteskin' in Douala to be EXTRA vigilend for dangers with thieves and robbers! Please be careful!!

  • Hey Family,

I cant email photos home from the Internet cafes here. The last ones i put up i did from Nairobi Airport. In regards to your concerns for safety i only ever leave the base with an African bodyguard normally Bernard or Simon-Piere.
