Week Seven
This week has been on God's character and nature not that you can cover that in a week. It was the abridged version. It has been really good.
God has also been showing me what he wants me to do with my life or at least the next few years but more on that when i get home. I have also had the opppurtunity to read a few good books here. Why not Women? (Loren Cunningham and David Hamilton) Tortued for Christ (Pastor Richard Wurmbrandt) Discipling Nations - i cant remember the authors name.
As well as the two coompulsary Loren Cunningham books we have had to read - Is that really you God? and Living life on the Edge.
All of them are really good books.
Thanks for prayer for me please keep praying, i also have a prayer request its for my Africian brothers and sisters here. They have such a passion for serving God but they dont have the support base i do in New Zealand. They need money to do the things that God wants them to do so if you could pray that God will provide for them.

Kia ora Steve,
Happy Birthday to ya man. What a milestone eh, a quarter of a century. You should raise your bat :)
Thinking of you and always hoping that you are really enjoying your awesome lifetime chance to do something like this in the armpit of Africa.
You going to get any coverage of the Soccer World Cup? I know you have plenty of more important things happening over there but I am sure you will want to jump around like a football hooligan to let off some steam.
Love you bro.
James

Steve,
Happy Birthday bro. It's so hard to imagine what life must be like over there, but we know that God is with you and your African Brothers and Sisters. As you see what God can accomplish through willing people who don't have much, but who hunger and thirst after his righteousness, I hope you are getting thoroughly "ruined" and won't ever settle for an ordinary life. May your dreams always be fueled by God's heart for the underdog and your hopes be rooted in God's faithfulness. Kia kaha..act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God.
Love,
Sarah

Hi Steve,
Happy Birthday last (oops) Sunday. You scarcely look a day over 25!
We've loved getting your news and adventures. Thanks.
We know the effect that Africa had on us , so we can imagine how the land, the people, the reactions to poverty, begging, materialism and being 'different'is affecting you.
Your Mum is working very hard with Russell and Glen away. What's new Pussycat?
Dad is busy as usual with his projects but will find time to watch the Super 14 final on Saturday.
We'll be involved again in the Global Day of Prayer- so be thinking of you then too.
Hugs and blessings,
Tony and Wendy
